Blue and White Scooter

When I'm on my lunch break I walk around Northwest Portland and take pictures of things - especially scooters.

Scooter, Mural, Portland

Who are all these scooter-driving people who insist on parking by artwork and murals?  I am forced to take pictures of them.  Notice the bicycle in the painting.

Snow Day

The snow melted off pretty quickly, and this Vespa seems to have weathered it well.  I took this photo right outside where I work in NW Portland, where I've had my eye on this Vespa that has been parked on the street recently.

Still Life with Scooter

I took this one in Rome.

There I was, just walking along down an ally in Rome. Scooters were everywhere, as they always are. If there's space to park, there's a scooter. Sidewalks, pedestrian pathways - everywhere they don't get run over, they park. The juxtaposition of the ancient and the brand-new is beautiful.

I'm a bit fascinated with scenes that appear to be partly grayscale and partly color. I assure you that the look is natural to this image - I didn't spot color it at all.

I have a 40" x 60" print of this if anyone's interested.
