In Front of Marrakesh Restaurant

Notice the daffodils coming up.  I took this photograph a few days ago - those flowers are open now.  Maybe you can't see it in this small version, but the bicycle is the same burgundy color as the restaurant's door and the accent color on the building.  I like that sense of resonance in a picture, when elements seem to align on their own.

Bicycle, Nortwest Portland

I can't decide between these two version of this bicycle scene.  Any thoughts?

Caution Cones

The sun has been more cooperative than expected the last few days, and I've gotten some good shots walking around NW Portland near work.  This car is a stunner, and the orange caution cones only serve to highlight the bold color scheme of the car's paintwork.

Under the I-405

I just got back from Australia and have a slew of photos to post.   For some reason, though, I'm compelled to post this one I took just today, in Portland.  I"m on a street photography kick, and red, white, black and grey seem to be my colors of choice.
